The first Monday in May has become known as the day of the Met Gala, an event put on by Vogue magazine and the Metropolitan Art Museum in New York. The 2024 theme was “The Garden of Time,” a theme that fits perfectly with one of the 2024 summer jewelry trends of flowers.
As always, the beautiful people showed up with jaw-dropping looks, and jewelry to match. From all the outfits, here are five celebrities that wore my favorite awe-inspiring jewelry.
Cardi B – Her dress was gorgeous, but it was the jewelry that stole the show. Designed by Indian designed Kamyen, the necklace, earrings, and bracelet had gorgeous emeralds and diamonds that were simply spectacular.
Elle Fanning – I love a good pair of earrings and Elle Fanning had beautiful earrings designed by Cartier. With her complex dress, these were a smart choice that stood out because they were perfectly matched to the overall look.
Jennifer Lopez – JLo had a great dress that was stunning for so many reasons, but it was her diamond necklace designed by Tiffany & Co that stands out for me. The intricacy matches her dress perfectly and is such a lovely elegant accessory.
Amanda Seyfreid – The choice of diamond crown headpiece for her Met Gala look helped Amanda Seyfreid stand out. The silver look was aided by dyed silver hair, all to match her silver floral dress to fit the overall theme. Truly, a beautiful way to incorporate jewels into her look
Swarovski – This list wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Swarovski, which made a beautiful appearance with five different looks including both dresses and jewelry worn by Karlie Kloss, Anok Yai, Irina Shayk, Imaan Hammam, and Giovanna Engelbert. Each look was inspired by different elements and floral parts, earth, air, water, flower, and sunlight, and the monochromatic use of color truly stood out. Each dress incorporated crystals, but the supporting jewelry paired perfectly with their dresses.
