If you follow me on Instagram, it’s likely you’ve seen my cat Sappho on there. I’ve come to learn that many jewelry artists have cats that make an appearance in their studios, so it’s nice to know that I’m not an exception with mine.

She is my constant companion when I blog, sitting on my lap and forcing me to balance my computer careful on my knees, or she is more often attacking my fingers. She is always sniffing the finished jewelry designs, inspecting them for quality. She listens patiently as I mull out designs and blog topics. And most importantly, she’s crashing my photo shoots and forcing my attention away from the jewelry and onto her.

But today I decided to put a bit of focus onto her because it’s her adopt-a-versary. It was 6 years ago that I brought her home and made her part of my family. So on this day, I thought I’d shine a bit more attention onto her to celebrate her in the way she deserves.
