Inktober is a month-long challenge that provides daily prompts to artists, allowing them to grow their skills. I learned about Inktober in 2018 and loved the push it provides artists. From then on I decided it would be a good exercise to participate and break up my routine to help me be creative.
This is the third year I’ve participated in Inktober. View my post about my 2020 Inktober designs, my 2019 Inktober experience, and how these sketches inspired my Inktober metal jewelry collection.
Last year, I tried to incorporate as many stones as I could into jewelry designs. That didn’t work as well as I had hoped and instead of feeling inspired, I created a lot of sketches I wasn’t very pleased with. This year, I vowed to have fun with the prompts and sketch for the joy of it.
I’m looking forward to participating again next year and being inspired by the new prompts. Did you participate in the Inktober challenge? Share your stories of sketches below.
