To me, summertime has a distinct golden hour, that time in the evening when the light lingers. In the summer, this hour seems more vibrant with beautiful summer sunsets, cooler temps, and tranquility. I’ve pulled from this inspiration in the past, creating my Summer Sunsets jewelry collection. But this year, I wanted to pull from the gold hues I see during this time of night. When I first dreamed up this collection I had the vision of designing a monochromatic collection using mostly gold elements. This was something I hadn’t tried before, which intrigued me even more.

I present you with the Golden Goddess summer jewelry collection.

It’s not often that a collection comes to me in such a cohesive way, but the Golden Goddess summer jewelry collection was one that just clicked. Then, I decided I wanted release this collection on the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and one where the golden hour lingers the longest.

Designing with a single color pushed me creatively in a way I haven’t been pushed yet. I was forced to add visual interest using other elements of design like movement, texture, and shape. While it was challenging, this collection was also fun because it is something so different from what I usually design.

Typically, I pre-plan my collections months in advance, and I rarely give in to whims weeks before a potential release date. I usually incorporate a variety of different season stones in a variety of colors and metals into a collection to create vibrant accessories. All of these differences made this collection a lot of fun to work on.

I’m pleased with how each design turned out. Summer is the best season for gold; wear these during the golden hour or to commemorate this special time of the year. Shop your favorite design online in my Etsy Shop today!

Happy Summer Solstice to all. However you celebrate, I hope you enjoy the longest day of the year.
