I’ve been looking at the current situation and trying to view this as an added gift of time. Normally, I have two months where I have unplanned weekends before things start to fill up. Between friend time, studio time, and doing those daily household chores, my time is taken upmost months.
One of the positive coronavirus business impacts is that I spent the first few weeks catching up on projects I wanted to create and designing with supplies that inspired me. Here are a few of my favorite quarantine designs that I’m especially proud of.
Mountain Necklaces
In Colorado, we love our mountains so much, we use them to orient ourselves and give directions. That’s why when I found several mountain pendants from Nina Designs I had to grab a couple to make my own unique creations with. I love all three of these designs and how different each is. I think it’s a great way to keep the mountains close to your heart.
Rose gold necklace
I ordered the rose gold pendant in this necklace several years ago when I was making a rose gold project for Stringing magazine. When I got the pendant, it was far too small for me to use, so I decided to save it for another day. Since then I’ve looked at the pendant many times and had a desire to make something with it. After investing in some rose gold findings and chain at Tucson this year, I was finally able to create a necklace I’m proud of.
Galaxy Earrings
Earrings aren’t something I make very often, but when I found these beads during my recent jewelry studio organization project I just knew they’d make great earrings. I’m glad I gave them a bit of thought and time because I do love the end result and think these are a great statement earring.
Creme De Peche Necklace
Creme de Peche was one of the fall 2019 Pantone colors that inspired me the most last season. I got two great mixes from Jesse James Beads that I just loved. I had this elegant charm waiting on my bench for the right inspiration to hit, and I’m glad I was finally able to finish this design.
Spring Snow Bling Necklaces
Speaking of Jesse James Beads, their collections are some of my favorite things to order. Every time I invest in a strand or mix, I know that I’m going to be able to create unique designs. As I was cleaning out the older items I had acquired, I found several color palettes perfect for early spring. I let myself play and created two beautiful necklaces with different accent pendants in the middle. I’m so excited about these designs and think they’re perfect for every occasion.
Favorite one-off creations
While I love being inspired by the different themes of my collections, it’s nice to give myself time to create whatever inspires me. While the designs listed above are some of my favorites, there are many more items I’ve created in the last few months that I love. You can see all of the designs I’ve recently created
