Like many, I’ve recently been sucked into watching Bridgerton, a period-piece on Netflix that follows several families in 19th Century London. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a period piece, especially one that is also a good drama and romance story. While I haven’t worked my way through the first season yet, I’ve very much enjoyed each episode.
What helps make the show enjoyable is the exquisite costumes and the jewelry that each character dons. I noticed these standout items in the first episode, and they’ve only gotten better and better with each episode. The tiaras, the necklaces, and the earrings; each piece is more beautiful than the last.
Maybe that’s why this article published by JCK magazine caught my eye this week. Within it, it explains how the jewelry was selected for the series. “Bridgerton’s jewelry is classically glamorous, and stylistically pulls from several eras, including Regency, Victorian, and Georgian.” If you, like me, are interested in learning more about the jewelry in the series, I recommend reading the article fully.
Are you watching the series? Which look from the show is your favorite? Personally, I’m a fan of the divine necklace Prince Freidrich gives Daphne. Share your favorite accessory in the comments below!
