More about the 2020 Pantone Color of the Year
According to Pantone, “Classic Blue brings a sense of peace and tranquility to the human spirit, offering refuge. Aiding concentration and bringing laser-like clarity, Classic Blue re-centers our thoughts. A reflective blue tone, Classic Blue fosters resilience.”
Using Classic Blue in your jewelry designs
Blue is one of my favorite colors, and the announcement of this color really excites me. I had fun embracing the hue during my Tranquil Waters summer collection, so the idea of exploring this color again this year is exciting. I’d love to create a Classic Blue collection to truly explore this hue.
As with the 2019 Pantone Color of the year Living Coral, I plan to incorporate this color into my jewelry with gemstones and beads. The gemstones that I think encompass this color are lapis and sapphire. I look forward to discovering other fun supplies that incorporate the rich color.
Materials to use with Classic Blue
Blue is such a versatile color that it would work well with silver, gold, and copper. I can see this rich hue working well with golds and also cooler metals like silvers. I look forward to exploring what works best with this rich hue and what ideas spring forth.
